Upcoming Astrology Outlook for September 2026

We have now moved through the final eclipse portal of the year and we find ourselves standing on different ground.

On September 1, Mars in Cancer squares Saturn retrograde in Aries, testing our patience, emotional strength and ability to respond rather than react. What surfaces may feel challenging, but it also reveals how much wisdom and maturity we have gained through everything we've experienced this year.

Allow whatever emerges in early September to become a foundation rather than an obstacle. Meet your emotions with curiosity, trust what they are showing you, and use this energy as an opportunity for deeper growth and healing.

September 10 brings a powerful convergence of energy, inviting us to examine what we value, what we believe and what we are ready to change.

Venus, the planet of love and values, moves into Scorpio, beginning a period of deeper reflection around relationships, self-worth, intimacy and what feels truly aligned. As Venus opposes Chiron, old wounds may resurface—not as evidence that we are moving backward, but as markers of how much we have grown. Notice what affects you differently now.

At the same time, Uranus stations retrograde in Gemini, turning its revolutionary energy inward. Over the coming months, we are invited to examine the architecture of our minds. Why do I think this? Is it actually true? This is an opportunity to disrupt limiting beliefs, transform our inner dialogue, and become receptive to entirely new perspectives.

And beneath it all, we experience a New Moon in Virgo at 18°, offering fertile ground for integration, refinement and intentional change.

September 10 is a reset point. Question the old story. Tend to what still hurts. Plant your intentions in the person you are becoming—not the person you used to be.

On September 12, Mercury trines Pluto and opposes Neptune, bringing depth and intensity to how we think, perceive and communicate. This energy can be especially helpful in unraveling the old agreements and belief systems that Uranus retrograde is beginning to bring to the surface.

Stay grounded, as this may feel like a whirlwind of insight and emotion all at once. Be discerning rather than rushing toward conclusions. Give what is emerging enough space to be explored, questioned and understood.

On September 13, Mercury trines Uranus, bringing greater clarity and helping us integrate what has been revealed. New perspectives become available, old thought patterns begin to loosen and we may finally see a different way forward.

On September 17, Chiron retrograde returns to Aries, offering one final opportunity to revisit and integrate the lessons that have been unfolding since Chiron first entered Aries in 2018.

This is less about reopening old wounds and more about recognizing how differently we can meet them now. Themes surrounding identity, self-worth, courage, independence and our right to take up space may return for one final review.

With Chiron remaining retrograde until January 6, allow this time to become an integration period. Notice where pain has become wisdom, where reaction has become awareness and where you are finally ready to embody what these past several years have taught you.

On September 22, we celebrate the Autumnal Equinox, a sacred moment of balance when day and night meet in equal measure. From here, we begin the gradual journey inward toward the darkness and stillness of the Winter Solstice.

At the same time, the Sun enters Libra, beginning a season centered around harmony, beauty, relationships, and balance. Libra reminds us that equilibrium isn't something we find once and hold onto—it is something we continually create as life shifts around us.

Use this turning point to pause, take inventory, and restore balance where it has been lost.

On September 26, we experience a Full Moon in Aries at 3°, bringing themes of openness, movement and change. This lunation asks us to sit with the lessons of Chiron retrograde in Aries, gathering the wisdom from what we have experienced rather than continuing to carry the weight of the wound.

It is time to put something down. Surrender into a deeper flow through radical acceptance and self-compassion, trusting that healing doesn't require force.

With the Moon conjunct Neptune retrograde, imagination and intuition are heightened. Open yourself to possibilities beyond what you think life should look like. Release your grip on outcomes, expectations and desires that may no longer reflect who you are becoming.

On September 27, Mars moves into Leo and squares Chiron retrograde, bringing the relationship between our wounds and our personal expression into focus. Rather than allowing old pain to diminish our confidence, this energy asks us to recognize how our experiences have shaped our strength. The wound becomes wisdom when we learn how to work with it rather than against it.

As the month closes, Mercury enters Scorpio on September 30, turning our attention toward what lies beneath the surface. Our thoughts become deeper, our intuition sharper and we may feel called to explore the truths hidden within our own shadows.

Sink into the shadow. Listen to what lives beneath the noise, and find your own place within the luminous dark.
